Welcome to Summer 2014 at the Gail Borden Public Library District!

We have been gearing up for a "Pawreffic!" summer for your children.  Our "Paws to Read" Summer reading program has kicked off.  Children in the public schools should have received reading logs in their backpacks.  If, by chance, they have not, please come on in to pick one up.  We also have reading logs for infants, preschoolers, middle school, teen and adults for everyone to join in the fun!

Next week we start our summer programming.  Our times and names have changed as they are themed with our "Paws to Read" program!  Tiny Tales will be for birth-23 mos, Wiggles N' Giggles will be at the Rakow Branch for ages 9 mos-23 mos, Puppy Dog Tales is for ages 2-Kindergarten and lastly we have Off the Leash! for children in grades 1 & 2.  You can find times for each of our programs here: Youth Summer Calendar.

To add to the "Pawtastic" fun, we have Clifford the Big Red dog exhibit joining us at the main library starting Jun 7th.  It will include different stations for you and you child to explore as if they were at Birdwell Island visiting Clifford!  The biggest piece include Clifford as a slide for the children to enjoy.  We hope that you come check it out!
