Rhyme: We're Having a Party

Let's clap our hands

This is an active rhyme to repeat at home with your toddler to encourage learning of body parts.  What other verses can you and your toddler add?  Swing your arms?  Tap your toes?

Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the spout again!

In order to develop writing skills a child's hand and finger muscles need to be strong and work well together.  This rhyme is a great one to practice with your toddler for muscle development and  coordination.
